Facebook as international eMarketing strategy of Taiwan hotels

Taiwan hotels need to focus on international eMarketing because these cater to international travelers, especially with leisure travelers expected to increase in the coming years. Facebook offers a wide range of opportunities for the international eMarketing of hotels. Investigation of the current use of Facebook, as an international eMarketing tool, by six large hotels in Taiwan showed presence in Facebook and use of basic features. However, the use of different Facebook features varied. While the hotels were able to connect with international leisure travelers via Facebook for the communication of marketing messages, the reach is limited to Chinese-speaking users using Chinese as the primary language, even for hotel pages accessible through English accounts. Language use also limited interaction in spreading the message virally to the wider international leisure travelers. Employing options to accommodate English and even other languages by selecting from available language support options can enhance international eMarketing via Facebook of hotels.     

Inter-firm R&D networks in the global software industry: An overview of major trends and patterns

This paper presents an analysis of some major historical trends in inter-firm R&D partnering in the international software industry during the period 1970–1999. Our research demonstrates an overall growth pattern of newly made R&D partnerships and reveals the important role played by leading firms. We also examine the emergence of various R&D networks in the software industry, indicating the change from sparse and disconnected inter-firm R&D networks to dense and well-connected networks since the second half of the 1980s.     

中小软件外包人力资本投资风险与控制策略研究

人力资本投资在服务外包总投资中占了最大比重,对软件外包企业来说更是如此.人力资本投资比重的增加给企业带来更大收益的同时也增加了企业的投资风险.目前,我国中小规模软件外包企业员工流动率高达20％,是社会平均流动率的两倍,形势严峻.本文力图突破传统的共性分析层面,从中小软件外包特性分析出发,探讨其人力资本投资风险的形成过程,并分别基于交易成本理论和期权理论提出控制人力资本投资风险的再外包和分阶段投资策略,为我国中小软件外包企业缓解高人力资本流失率,控制人力资本投资风险提供理论依据.     

基于PROTEUS的单片机对步进电机运动控制仿真

针对步进电机在各领域上越来越广泛的应用,提出了用单片机AT89C51控制运行四相步进电机方法。由于实验室里进行设计,受到场地、仪器和元件等的限制,提出了用Proteus进行仿真的方法。该软件不仅具有其它EDA工具软件的仿真功能,还能仿真单片机及外围器件。它是目前最好的仿真单片机及外围器件的工具,使设计时间大为缩短,学校的资源得以非常好的利用。     

Community entrepreneurship - cases and conceptualization *

As starting and managing a small business means both social and economic risk taking so is building a robust community a social as well as an economic endeavour. Such a community is a most vital context for entrepreneurship. If located in a remote area and if the environment is hostile cooperation is stimulated between firms and other community groups. Their success is especially ascribed to qualified community entrepreneurship, i.e. personal and innovative ways of building support for local autonomous entrepreneurs. An integrative approach to local economic development is illustrated by two successful, albeit contrasting, Swedish cases.

The cases are reviewed with the help of a conceptual framework that particularly points out the importance of local and global networking in both community and autonomous entrepreneurship. In a mixed economy such networks must be carefully managed and encompass linkages on, beside the market, institutional and political arenas. The very role of the community entrepreneur is to bridge these different settings through alert leadership, if required organized as a team.     

Industry-oriented enterprise resource planning

General purpose enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems have problems such as complex configuration processes, low adaptation to specific industries, and an extensive implementation time period. In order to alleviate these issues, this paper proposes the concept of industry-oriented ERP (IERP) and a component-based approach to IERP development. This paper also presents the framework of developing IERP in which business process modelling and software reuse are employed as primary methods to improve the operability of component-based IERP. The framework consists of five layers including server layer, team work supporting layer, IERP construction and customisation layer, reusable assets and toolset layer, and the IERP system instance layer. These layers as well as their relationship with each other are also discussed.

我国水力水电工程地质计算机应用技术的研究与发展起步于20世纪80年代,走过了三十多年的发展历程,发展到现在已经跨上了一个崭新的台阶。随着科技的发展与进步,高性能、专业化的计算机软件越来越多的应用到水利水电工程领域当中,但随之而来的管理水平和计算机应用水平的提升是否滞后于新产品的更新换代就成为一个新问题。对工程地质计算机应用技术不断提出新的要求,将会进一步推进计算机应用技术的发展。

CMMI是全球权威的软件能力成熟度模型,在中国方兴未艾。本文针对我国中小型软件企业的特点,结合笔者自身在CMMI3的启动、实施与持续改进工作中多年的探索研究和积累,试图提出一套快速有效的CMMI3实施方案,希望能够帮助那些准备或正在实施CMMI3以期降低成本、提升管理水平的企业,尽快达成目标。
